ColorFlex L2 Citrus

Directional 45°/0°

Compact spectrocolorimeter with integrated software that references physical color standards for juices and beverages

The ColorFlex L2 Citrus is particularly suitable for measuring the color of opaque liquids, typically characterized by a high solids content, low light transmission, and a high Brix value.

Common examples include tomato juice, orange juice, smoothies, soy milk, and protein drinks.
For these types of samples, a spectrocolorimeter with 45°/0° directional geometry is used, which is best matched to human visual perception of color.

For transparent liquids such as water, apple juice, lemonade, soft drinks/energy drinks, and alcoholic beverages, with very low or no solids content, color is measured in transmission—see HunterLab Vista.
In translucent liquids, characterized by medium solids content and low Brix value, color can be measured either in reflection or transmission, depending on the sample's ability to transmit light.
