Universal pendulum for Charpy, Izod, and Tensile Impact tests, with a 1k PPR optical encoder and a 7" touchscreen

The Artemis Universal Pendulum Tester is designed in accordance with ISO 13802 and is capable of performing Charpy (ISO 179, ASTM D6110), Izod (ISO 180, ASTM D256), and Tensile Impact (ISO 8256 Method A) tests on a single interchangeable platform.

Impact speeds are adjustable up to 3.8 m/s; single-piece and variable-weight pendulums are available up to 50 J and are released by an electromagnet for a frictionless start.
Impact energy is calculated using a 1k PPR digital optical encoder that measures the post-impact return angle with automatic correction for friction losses and air resistance.
The 7" touchscreen guides the operator through test configuration (test type, operator data, material/batch codes, specimen dimensions, QC limits). Results are expressed in kJ/m, kJ/m², and ft-lb/in, with automatically updated batch statistics (mean, standard deviation, CoV) and fracture type (complete, partial, hinge, no fracture).
