Motorised notching cutter: batch up to 20 specimens in ~20 s, V and U profiles for Charpy and Izod
Motorized notching machine for the automatic production of calibrated notches on specimens intended for Charpy (ISO 179, ASTM D6110) and Izod (ISO 180, ASTM D256) impact tests.
An adaptive microprocessor control unit continuously optimizes feed rate (up to 0.05 mm/rev) and cutting speed (350–2,350 rpm) based on the material being processed, ensuring profile uniformity even on heterogeneous materials.
The multi-specimen vise accommodates up to 20 specimens, each 4 mm thick, simultaneously; the automatic return mechanism resets the position for the next cycle in a total time of approximately 20 seconds per batch.
Optically ground tungsten carbide cutting wheels minimize the load on the die and maximize durability. V and U profiles are available for any standard.
The system is equipped with a polycarbonate housing with an electric interlock and emergency stop.
