MFI30 is a high-performance Melt Flow Index (MFI) tester capable of performing Methods A, B, C, and D (FRR, with the addition of the optional pneumatic weight loader) of international standards on a single instrument.
Equipped with a 10k PPR digital rotary encoder, it measures piston displacement with high precision for methods B, C, and D.
The microprocessor automatically calculates MFR, MVR, viscosity, shear stress, shear rate, and intrinsic viscosity, requiring only the input of the material’s density at the test temperature.
The multi-slicing function allows real-time analysis of the flow curve without the need for physical cutting of the sample.
The system comes with a standard kit (discharge piston, precision test die, and a 2.16 kg load), a complete cleaning kit (including cloths and specialized rods, die tools, and wire brushes) to ensure proper chamber operation, a go/no-go gauge for nozzle verification, and a graduated filling cylinder for routine calibration checks.
The MFI30 also features a 7-inch touchscreen display, dual heating zones, the ability to set and save tolerances for quality control, and the included LABLogic+ software with USB/Ethernet connectivity.
