Drop dart with manual calculation
Manual drop-weight tester for flexible films: pneumatic clamp, electromagnetic release, manual calculation
The ART-DDi10 is an entry-level Falling Drop Dart Tester designed to determine the impact resistance of films and flexible materials (typical thickness ≤ 0.25 mm) in accordance with ASTM D1709 Methods A and B and ISO 7765.
The specimen is secured by a two-piece pneumatic clamp that ensures slip-free clamping; the dart is held and released by an electromagnet for a repeatable, free vertical drop from 660 mm (or 1500 mm with the optional extension kit). Operation requires both hands for maximum operator safety; a dart rebound guard is included.
The instrument is supplied with a 38.1 mm (1½") aluminum dart and a set of binary weights up to 2 kg; additional weights and the Method B kit (50.8 mm dart) are optional.
Results calculation (F50 staircase) is performed manually.
Two-piece pneumatic clamp for secure and repeatable clamping of the sample
Electromagnetic release of the dart for frictionless vertical drop
Two-handed operation
Standard drop height: 660 mm (1,500 mm optional)
Complies with ASTM D1709 Methods A and B, ISO 7765
