Friction Coefficient Tester designed to measure static (µs) and dynamic (µk) friction coefficients on polymer films, sheets, laminates, paper, technical fabrics, and rubber in accordance with ASTM D1894 and ISO 8295.
It is a horizontal, fixed-table instrument with a 1 kg (10 N) load cell included, servo motor control, and variable test speed up to 1,600 mm/min over a distance of up to 350 mm.
The microprocessor continuously samples the load cell signal: the peak value at the start of movement is recorded as the static COF; the average of the readings along the selected path is recorded as the dynamic COF.
Results are displayed graphically and in tabular form on the 7" touchscreen; the multi-slicing function allows analysis of multiple sections of the sample without physical cutting. Configurable parameters: speed, distance, slider weight, dwell time. Tolerances can be set for QC with immediate verification.
USB and Ethernet connectivity with LABLogic+ software.
Numerous optional accessories ensure high versatility of use: heated stage, vacuum stage, variable-mass slide, “fishtail” stabilizer, and fixtures for 90° and 180° peel tests.
