Film Strip Cutters
The linear film strip cutter is the dedicated instrument for the rapid production of parallel rectangular test specimens from thin polymer films, metal foils and paper, for tensile, tear and COF testing. Unlike die presses, the cutter is indicated when the specimen length required by the standard exceeds the available die size, or when the material is too thin to be die-cut without deformation. The spring-loaded cutting head, guided on a precision linear rail, delivers parallel and repeatable cuts over the full working stroke.
