Manual lever press for die-cutting specimens from plastics, rubbers, films, foils and textiles
Precision sample cutters are the laboratory presses dedicated to producing standardised test specimens from plastics, rubbers, films, metal foils and technical textiles. Available in manual lever and electro-pneumatic versions, both operate on the same principle: the cutting force is transmitted onto a cutting die — the interchangeable steel tooling that defines the specimen geometry — positioned on the material. The manual press is ideal for low-volume laboratories, offering simplicity and low cost. The pneumatic press is the solution for high-volume testing: constant cutting force at every cycle, independent of the operator, for uniform and repeatable specimens. Test sample cutting dies, in EDM-machined tool steel with diamond-lapped cutting edges, are available for any international standard (ASTM, ISO, DIN, JIS) or custom geometry, and fit both manual and pneumatic presses interchangeably.
